This article will provide some useful website performance tools. I've been extremely busy coding and designing multiple websites lately so I've decided to add website guides in order to prevent content drought.

I think the upcoming guides will provide value. I'm not too worried about the diversity of the content either. A sign of a good tech is one who is versatile and can learn new things quickly.

Let's get started with some web tools to test your website's performance:

  1. Pingdom Website Speed Test
  2. WebPageTest – Test a website's performance

It should go without saying that you need to test your website's performance. When you run these tests you'll most likely be recommended to do the following:

  • Fix broken HTML
  • Minifi Javascript files and append them at the bottom of the page
  • Minifi CSS files
  • Shrink or otherwise optimize Images

You can either do all of the performance tweaks yourself or look into some content delivery network (CDN) options. I don't have specific recommendations at this time but you should definitely look into using one.

The tests will also reveal speed and a few other metrics you can discover on your own. Check it out!

Also, if you've missed the initial WordPress guides, check those out too.
