I remember when I first started making websites, I routinely got stuck on what should go in the footer. Here's a few ideas on what to put in your website footer.
There's no absolute must haves but you should keep in mind that your footer loads on all pages unless you use a specific template. So don't use something that loads slowly like maps, scripts, or large media files.
This would be general navigation that make up the core of your website.

The footer for Website Jolt is simply a footer theme assigned menu and a small legal section. I anticipate over time that this will expand but I won't take it out too wide.
